Celebrating 150 years of the Mahatma : Outreach to the Portuguese Schools (04.06.2019)

On 04 June, Dr. Arjun Deore, Second Secretary in the Embassy, visited the Sebastian and Silva Secondary School (Escola Secundária Sebastião e Silva) in Oeiras to discuss possibity of collaboration under the ambit of the Embassy's initiative to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in Portugal. 

The Embassy, in collaboration with the Portuguese School, plans to organise various activities including Global Gandhi Solar Yatra (@ggsy.in) in which students will assemble solar lamps and get hands on experience with the renewable energy.

On this occasion, the Embassy also gifted several books including the special edition of Gandhi comics in Portuguese.
