Celebration of 50 years of ‘India-Portugal relations’ with a performance of 3 classical dance forms

As part of the year-long celebrations marking 50 years of diplomatic relations between India and Portugal, Ambassador Puneet Kundal graced a special cultural evening featuring mesmerizing performances of three classical Indian dance forms—Kathak, Odissi, and Bharatnatyam. This event was organized in collaboration with Isha Artes and Fundação Oriente, reflecting the deep-rooted cultural ties between the two nations.

The occasion was further honored by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Govind Gaude, Minister of Arts and Culture of Goa, who joined the celebration, emphasizing the shared cultural heritage and historical connections between India and Portugal.

The performances captivated the audience, showcasing the rich tradition and storytelling essence of Indian classical dance, while also serving as a testament to the vibrant cultural exchange that continues to flourish between the two countries.
