President Droupadi Murmu held delegation level discussions with President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa of Portugal

President Murmu and President de Sousa agreed to further strengthen the long-standing ties between the two countries, particularly in key areas such as trade and investment, information technology, renewable energy, and digital connectivity.


The two leaders reviewed a broad range of bilateral, regional, and global issues of shared interest. They reaffirmed that the India-Portugal relationship is founded on mutual trust, understanding, and close cooperation—including at multilateral forums.


Their meeting underscored a shared commitment to advancing a forward-looking partnership that contributes to peace, prosperity, and sustainable development for both nations and beyond.
