President of India Droupadi Murmu Visits the historic Câmara Municipal de Lisboa

President Droupadi Murmu was warmly welcomed by Mr. Carlos Moedas, Mayor of Lisbon, at the historic Câmara Municipal de Lisboa (City Hall), where she was accorded a ceremonial Guard of Honour.

In a grand ceremony attended by eminent citizens of Lisbon, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of the Indian and Indo-Portuguese communities, Mayor Moedas presented President Murmu with the prestigious ‘Key of Honour’ of Lisbon City.

President Murmu expressed her sincere gratitude to the Mayor and the people of Lisbon for the honour. She praised the citizens for their warmth, open-mindedness, and enduring commitment to tolerance and respect for diversity—values that India deeply cherishes.
