India Corner at the University of Aveiro (18.06.2019)
As part of an initiative of the Ministry of External Affairs of creating 'Bharat - Ek Parichay: Sharing knowledge with the world' corner at libraries of prestigious universities and educational institutions abroad, the Embassy gifted books on Gandhi and Indian literature, art, music, history, tourism, and foreign policy to the Departamento de Línguas e Culturas da Universidade de Aveiro.

ICYMI: On 26 March, a seminar 'India in the World' was organized by the Department of Languages and Cultures. The discussion themes included 'India in Feminism', 'Indian Diaspora around the World', 'Festive India: the richness and diversity of Indian culture', and 'India from outside: popular perceptions of Indian culture'. The presentations were followed by enthusiastic audience participation and lively Q&A sessions. In her closing remarks, Ambassador of India to Portugal H.E. Mrs. K. Nandini Singla thanked the Department for organizing the seminar and hoped that more such events would be organized. She also met the Indian students and researchers studying and pursuing research at the University.
