1) Important Notice regarding OCI cards

There have been a significant number of queries from applicants who have applied for OCI services at the Embassy of India, Lisbon since January, 2014 and are waiting to receive their cards. While the normal processing time for OCI applications in the past had been 5-6 weeks as indicated on the Embassy’s website, due to reasons beyond our control at the New Delhi end, we regret the delay in printing of OCI Registrations Cards and are currently unable to specify the timeline for the receipt of the OCI cards from India. In the prevailing situation, any applicant who wishes to travel to India may apply for an appropriate visa in advance.
