Visit of the Ambassador to an exhibition “Gods of the Earth,” showcasing traditional earthen masterpieces

The Ambassador visited Montemor-o-Novo at the invitation of the Mayor to view “Gods of the Earth,” an exhibition showcasing traditional earthen masterpieces of the Velar, crafted by three Indian artisans and dedicated to Lord Ayyanar. Curated by João Rolãça, the exhibition captures the essence of this traditional art form, highlighting its cultural, spiritual and artistic significance. The visit provided an opportunity to appreciate the rich heritage of Indian craftsmanship and its potential to foster cultural exchange and strengthen people-to-people ties between India and Portugal.
